Victor, Idaho

Known as "a town to come home to," Victor, has more than doubled its population in the last 10 years. Being the southernmost city in Teton Valley, Victor's close proximity to Jackson, WY and Teton Pass make it the perfect location for those who work "over the hill" in Wyoming and those who enjoy a short commute to easy back-country ski & hiking access on Teton Pass.

With a population of approx. 1,900, Victor has gone out of its way to redefine its identity since the boom. Envision Victor collected stories from both new inhabitants and old timers to set the stage for smart growth and to align community values & priorities. Victor has a large variety of housing options including a resort, a LEED rated neighborhood with clustered homes, traditional neighborhoods and condos. Nestled up to the Palisades Range, the high-end resort, Teton Springs, is the first of it's kind in the valley with fine dining, swimming, golf, a spa & nordic skiing in the winter.

Downtown Victor is home to the Victor Valley Market, two popular breweries including Grand Teton Brewing Co. & Wildlife Brewing, the Victor Emporium (world famous huckleberry shakes), a handfull of shops, an elementary school, a medical clinic, a post office, a variety of delicious restaurants and the only indoor stages for live music in the valley. In addition, Music on Main hosts 7 free live music concerts in the Victor city park in July & August.

Also known as the "end of the line" for the Union Pacific railway that originally lead to Yellowstone, Victor is the gateway to the newly completed bike trail that goes from Victor, ID to West Yellowstone, MT and hopes to eventually circle through both Yellowstone and Teton National Parks as part of the Yellowstone Grand Teton Loop. In honor of their history with the rail, the city of Victor recently purchased the old railway depot with plans to convert it to their new city hall and a railway museum. This area will also double as the beginning of the bike path that heads north to Driggs and beyond.

With recreation being a main focus for many Victor residents, they have developed Pioneer Park as a large park in the city dedicated to multiple activities, including the valley's only ice arena, the Kolter Ice Arena, that hosts hockey and broom ball during the winter months. Moose-Cross is a popular regional cycle-cross competition hosted at the park in late summer. New bike lanes and sidewalks on Main Street help to promote alternative traffic throughout town.
